SPOOKY HISTORIC ARCHITECTURAL SITES LECTURE
Eleanor Schrader is an award-winning educator, lecturer, and author on the history of architecture, interiors, and decorative arts. She has been named a Distinguished Instructor of design history at UCLA Extension and is also Professor Emeritus of Art and Architectural History at Santa Monica College. She has done graduate work in fine and decorative arts at Sotheby’s Institute in London and New York and has served as Design Review Commissioner for the City of Beverly Hills. She is co-author of “Master Architects of Southern California, 1920-1940: Wallace Neff”.
Please join us as we cautiously step foot into some of the most haunted historic architectural sites! During our fright night, Eleanor Schrader will explore the histories, unexplainable happenings, and the stories of the spirits that inhabit these spooky spots. Your journey will include Winchester Mystery House, the Trans-Allegheny Lunatic Asylum, the Alamo, Greystone Mansion, RMS Queen Mary. If time allows, we will also investigate the ghostly happenings at the Knickerbocker Hotel, the Olde Pink House Tavern, the Jail House Inn, the Pittock Mansion, and the Congress Plaza Hotel.
