About:
Director, Character Art – Disney Consumer Products. Born in New Jersey in 1964, John T. Quinn was raised on a steady diet of animated cartoons and super hero comic books. From an early age he dreamed of working as an artist for The Walt Disney Company and, after graduating from the School of Visual Arts in New York City, that dream came true. John began as an intern in the Character Art department of Disney Consumer Products and very quickly established himself as a creative force within the organization.
John’s unique take on classic Disney characters like Minnie Mouse and Tinker Bell has been the driving force behind significant initiatives among retailers around the world: This includes his unique stylized Tinker Bell programs to his “Minnie Muse” program in North America and Russia. John was the creative lead on The Art of Disney Princess, a collection of interpretive illustrations and designs contributed by artists from North and South America, Europe and Asia. In 2012, John developed the art for Electric Holiday, a star-studded holiday event featuring a moving art short starring Minnie Mouse.
