We will work on creating eye catching story beats by exploiting the rules of scientific color theory and combining it with theatrical stage lighting practices. There will be exercises in how to capture the right mood using value and color in a fast, generalized sketch approach. We will also look at how light affects the same object(s) and how to change the feeling of it or them by changing the orientation and power of the lights within the scene. Pushing these tools, we will also work on TOD (Time of Day) shots, relighting a scene during the day, and at night using the same line drawing as a foundation.
