In this course, we will explore the basic techniques used to draw the human figure and effectively communicate gesture, rhythm and movement in our drawings. Our costumed models will present a variety of narrative and character-driven poses. The skills you learn in this course will not only strengthen your approach to figure drawing but will improve your day-to-day drawing.
Digital: Any digital drawing tools and software such as an iPad with Procreate, Photoshop with stylus, etc.
Traditional: 18″ x 24″ newsprint pad or sketchbook of any size, charcoal, conte, brush pen, or anything dark and bold. Avoid regular graphite pencils as they do not show well on camera.
