We will cover fundamental drawing techniques through exercises designed to sharpen your observational skills so you can create accurate, rendered drawings using light logic. We will also explore contour, basic shape construction, line and value, negative space, soft and hard edges. Great for all skill levels.
A virtual room link will be sent to you up to 24 hours prior to your class start date. A short tutorial will be given prior to the live class starting.

Amanda Mears studied in London at Turps Art School, and then here at LAAFA for 3 years. She exhibits her work in Los Angeles and London and has taught Beginning Drawing and Painting fundamental classes for several years at LAAFA, as well as privately in her Culver City studio and at a Los Angeles school. She is currently earning her Master of Fine Arts degree on a full scholarship at Claremont Graduate University.
